Manifesto: The Mad Farmer Liberation Front
Inspired by Noble Denim and Bulleit Bourbon's barrel aged jeans project, I wanted to share this poem by American writer Wendell Berry. Noble and Bulleit's work of impractical craftsmanship seems to me to be exactly what Berry envisions when he calls us to, "every day do something that won't compute... make more tracks than necessary, some in the wrong direction."
It might also help that Noble, Bulleit, and Berry all originate from the same region of the country as I do. All born in the wooded, rolling hills where Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky meet, their values and ideals seem to me to be on a perfect plane.
